Developing Youth Basketball in Hertfordshire

The club will be continuing training sessions for all junior teams on 13th April 2021. According to the current government guidelines and Basketball England’s RTP Roadmap from 12th April 2021, all under 18 teams can return to indoor and outdoor basketball activity.

Any player is welcome to attend whether they're a club member or not. Our sessions are open to all and would love for new players to join ahead of the 2021/22 season.

As of 13th April 2021, the club will be applying a ‘Pay and Play Only’ Policy. This means that any player wishing to attend club training will have to pay £5 BEFORE the session. The club will be accepting cash and BACS transfers for the remainder of the season. Cash payments are preferred! Players must hand cash to their coach.

Players will not be allowed to train if no payment has been received.

Every Tuesday from 13th April 2021:

Mixed - U11/U12: 5pm - 6:15pm

Boys - U14: 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Boys - U16: 7:30pm - 9pm

East Herts Royals Committee

East Herts Royals Basketball Club have become the powerhouse of club basketball in East Hertfordshire and was launched in September 2014 after the two clubs, Ware Rebels and Stevenage Scorpions combined. The club is committed to developing youth basketball in Hertfordshire.

With both of these former clubs having a history of success, both having the same philosophy in providing the best opportunities and training for the younger players in East Hertfordshire, this move will make East Herts Royals the club for any serious basketball player.  The management committee and coaching staff from Ware and Stevenage will combine to add quality and depth into this new programme.

The club has a training venue in Stevenage and will have the use of fantastic facilities in Marriott's School Leisure Centre.  We will be fielding teams from Under 12's all the way through to Men’s basketball.

East Herts Royals received over 100 members in its first season. This year five teams have been entered into either National or Central Venue League competitions.  The club has received lots of interest from junior players in and around the area, as well as receiving enquiries from East of England and County players!
